Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in every event.
